The Five Things You Must Do Before You Can Start Selling On Ebay

Written on April 8th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Many people make a full-time living on eBay. This is not only possible but it is also quite easy once you know what you are doing. Some people just make a little extra money through eBay auctions simply because it is fun – it becomes a hobby.

Whether you just want to sell some old items lying about your house, or you want to build a business by becoming a PowerSeller, there are five things you absolutely must do before you can start selling on eBay.

1. You must Register. Begin by registering as a member of eBay.

This registration is free, and it will allow you to participate in auctions – as a buyer. As soon as you have completed your registration as a buyer, you can register as a seller simply by logging into your eBay account and clicking on the ‘Sell’ tab at the top of the page. The information that you will enter is very basic information, but as a buyer, you will need to enter a credit card number, or sign up for a paypal account.

2. Sign up with paypal.

Paypal has become one of the most popular payment gateways on the Internet. This website allows people to transfer money from their bank accounts or credit cards, and to transfer money from one Paypal account to another. Signing up is quite easy, but you will need to verify your account with a checking account, and you can optionally add a credit card to the account. Paypal is very secure. As long as you don’t give your password out to anyone, you shouldn&t have any problems.

Paypal is not required to sign up with eBay, but it is highly recommended. This will allow you to give your buyers more payment options. Signing up with Paypal is free.

3. Find items to sell. You may already have items that you want to sell.

For instance, if you have recently cleaned out your attic or your garage, you probably have tons of stuff that you want to get rid of. Some items won’t sell well on eBay, while others will sell like hot cakes! So a little research to see what sells well before you set up any auctions.

You can also find items to auction by going to yard sales around your area.

Many eBay PowerSellers sell brand new items through drop shipping companies as well. It is all just a matter of determining how you want to profit from eBay, and what items are hot sellers.

4. Set up your auction. Once you are signed up, and you are ready to set up your auction, eBay has a form for you to fill out.

Here, you will determine how you are going to sell the product. You can choose to sell a group of items, or just one item. You will have a list of categories to choose from, and these categories determine where your item is listed on eBay. Choosing the proper category for your item is essential – this is how people will find your auction.

You must choose a title for your auction. You want to use your title to catch the buyer’s eye. Coming up with a great title isn’t always easy, and it does require some thought. Look at some past successful auctions to get some ideas. Make sure that you follow eBay’s guidelines for titles!

Make sure that you use the form to add as much information about your item as possible.

The more information you can include, the more successful your auction will be.

Look at the history of past auctions for items similar to yours. This information will help you determine your title, your description, and even your reserve price. The reserve price is the absolute minimum bid amount that you are willing to accept.

You will be allowed to include pictures of your items, and it is very important that you do so.

Make sure that the pictures are clear, and take several different shots from different angles. Pictures will help make your bid more successful. Many bidders won’t even look at auctions that do not include pictures.

You will also need to determine how long your auction will run. Don’t make the auction too short – give bidders time to find your item and place their bids – but at the same time, don’t make it too long. Force bidders to act by getting their bids in before the auction closes!

eBay has many upgrade options that will make your auction more noticeable.

Depending on the reserve price of your item, it may be well worth it to take advantage of these upgrades to get your auction noticed more easily.

5. Communicate with your bidders.

Make sure that you monitor your auction, and keep the lines of communication with your bidders open. Bidders will have questions about the item you are selling. Make sure that you respond to the questions and comments in a timely manner.

Think of yourself as a shop keeper, and reply to the bidders just as you would to a customer who was standing in your shop!

Making A Business Promoting Sports Betting Affiliate Programs

Written on April 5th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Building a business of any size from the ground up is a difficult and often expensive project. However depending on the aspirations and ambitions of an individual or a group there is an online option that creates millions of dollars each and every year for businesses world-wide. Affiliate marketing programs may seem like an unlikely, but it is in fact one of the easiest and most effective systems of earning anywhere. The effectiveness and ease of earnings are hugely increased when a potential affiliate chooses to represent an industry with the huge attraction of online sports betting. This multi-billion dollar industry owes much of its success to the network of affiliates that represent it. As such the major sites are more than willing to offer any affiliate sizeable rewards for any members that they can produce.

The affiliate marketing system is a very simple economic business structure. The affiliates work independently from the sports betting sites, but rely on them to supply not only the advertising campaigns but also the revenue made from the new customers. It is a marketing system in which no risk is associated and both parties have the potential to create a lucrative partnership that works for each of them. Affiliates can earn up to 35% of every player that bring to a sport betting sites overall lifetime money generated. With this money being generated for any amount of time it does not take too long or for that matter, take too many people to make it a hugely profitable enterprise.

The major trouble for all affiliates, as well as that for any serious website owner, is attracting a sufficient number of hits to their site. In a professional affiliate site this equation is far more important, as they can never hope to earn money if they cannot command a significant amount of traffic flowing through their site on a daily basis. The problem with affiliates is that they are wholly reliant on people not only following their links but also signing up and depositing cash. This means that only a very small percentage of those who visit the site will ever become fully signed up members. Therefore it is in the affiliates, as well as those that they represent, to make sure that the sites traffic is increased sufficiently to capitalise on the small percentage of people that will follow their links.

Increased visibility is the best way to make a site a prominent feature on the major search engines. But in the most part, increasing visibility through advertising is not something that can be done for free. Affiliate program marketers can create SEO documents, which are pieces thick with keywords embedded in the site, in order to make the site appear high on search engine lists. This is free to anybody with the skills to create such a document, but takes a great deal of time if done right. Site owners can also increase their visibility by posting a number of messages on forums relating to the sports betting industry. By referencing their site or utilising their individual URL as a signature, a site owner can reach a large enough audience without having to waste valuable dollars doing so. The most expensive option is taking out advertising, or utilising an affiliate system yourself offering sites a percentage of your own money in exchange for valuable customers. Paying for increased visibility is something to attempt for aspirational sites looking to make a significant revenue from their site. But whatever choices you make the affiliate industry is bursting at the seems with earning opportunities, with the real joy being that it is available to anybody with any budget.

Your Online Business Merchant Account

Written on April 4th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Are you ready to learn more about an online business merchant account? Most likely you have heard something about this type of e-commerce from your colleagues and peers in the local business community. Or perhaps you have read about a merchant account with its attendant benefits in a financial publication. But even if you have heard nothing at all, here is an opportunity to find out why so many company owners are applying for a merchant account to upgrade their business services.

An online business merchant account can be processed for your company in a matter of hours. You will first have to compare lenders’ offers to get the best possible deal for your business. Then you need to make sure you understand all the prices that could apply to your account. Some may not be clearly apparent on the home page of the lender’s Website, if that is how you are researching the financial underwriters who offer this service. Upon approval, you will be ready to set up various types of credit card processing options to facilitate customers’ payments for goods and services and to make your job of collecting payments that much easier.

How can you use an online business merchant account to increase profitability? One way is to install a credit card processor in your store or shop if you are a retailer. Your customers will appreciate the option of paying by credit in addition to offering cash or a check. Another way the merchant account can help is to provide you with a wireless credit card processor for use in your travels. If you deliver goods, for example, your customers can pay by credit the same day, thus eliminating the need for billing or waiting. At other times you may wish to attend a conference or a special event like a trade show where you may be able to sell company products using a credit card payment processor. This can save you money by letting you pay the lower retail rate with a swiped card as opposed to the higher rate required when you call in the customer’s credit card for approval and someone in the office must key in the account number.

Many business owners will agree that the chief advantage of your online account is to set up a company Website and sell products there as well. You can draw customers from around the world that will be ready to pay with a credit card when your Website is ready to accept credit payments. The site can be operational around the clock with no need for constant staffing, although it is a good idea to have technical support available as needed. When your Website works as it should, the home page can be easily located by many search engines and will bring customers to your location for browsing and possible purchases. When they key in their credit card numbers in real time, your lender, who has coordinated this service with a gateway entity, will deposit the funds in your account promptly. Business doesn’t get much better than that, so inquire today about an online business merchant account.

How to market affiliate programs via newsgroups

Written on March 31st, 2011 by Guruno shouts

How To Create a Steady Stream Of Buyers
Direct from 1000&s of NewsGroups”

I don’t get flamed when I post to newsgroups. I try my best to provide value in the form of Special Reports! My sales message is embedded within the report or at the end!

Newsgroups as they exist NOW are a ripe Gold Mine for ANYONE WHO
WILL GIVE VALUE FIRST…usually in the form of information reports! In business newsgroups you will stand out from all the foolish scams being advertised. You&ll have little competition!

A single report posted on a few newsgroups has brought in over 700 leads a week for me recently. That’s the difference between giving value and trying to force your message down your prospects throat.

When people like you, they buy from you, and the newsgroups have millions of people that can read your messages every day. In some ways I think it’s better than direct e-mail. Create many different powerful reports or short articles and post them in as many places as you can. Test placing in more and more newsgroups everyday.

If you get flamed – delete the newsgroup from your &okay to post in& list!

Soon, you’ll have a few hundred you can post in without problems. You can pull down some serious money this way. Million dollar companies are quietly being created on the newsgroups right now. Front Porch Computers built a 10 Million A Year business from answering questions and having powerful sig files attached at the end of every message!

The contacts I have made and offers that have come out of the blue have been unbelievable and profitable beyond what I expected. A single contact from someone could earn you a fortune. I’ve had some great deals offered to me without even asking. Also made some great lifetime friends!

Which Affiliate Marketing Mentor

Written on March 19th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Affiliate marketing been in the Internet industry for rather sometime now and it’s one of the most popular tools around employed by several online entrepreneurs nowadays. It’s a capital pick for those who would like to put up an online business quick and inexpensively. Even so, there’s still a large amount of the population who acknowledges a little or still zero about it. And most of the people who have barely discovered this business typically assume that they can well make big money out of it. Well, they are definitely wrong.

To be successful in affiliate marketing business is not an leisurely project and it will never occur overnight. It’s simply like an in progress assignment where you want to check and try several advertising strategies and tactics. This could even call for you to sign-up with various affiliate programs just to find which merchants performs all right.

Some other misconception that expect to gain a lot if they place all but 20 affiliated banners on exactly one niche. Well it won’t actually work the way you believe it would since once your site is overflowing with too several banners, it will appear like a link farm and visitors will not be curious and won’t even bother clicking on any of those banners. So if you actually prefer to promote several affiliate programs in your website, make sure that they swing with the theme and subject from the rest of the articles on your niche. Keep in mind that three to four affiliated links in your site are decent, depending on the size of the web page.

There is as well some who consider that if they add affiliate materials to their site, they can get sales at once. Possibly they simply don’t know that affiliate marketing is totally about advertising. Whenever there’s no traffic hitting your site, how could you expect to acquire any sales? Recall that the to a greater extent you advertise your affiliate link or the site where the affiliate links are placed, the more clickthru’s these links are likely to receive.

If you would like to be involved with or you’ve already joined an affiliate program, but you have the above misconceptions regarding affiliate marketing, then, you might need a mentor to help you work where to start out and what to do ready to succeed.

In the dictionary, the word mentor is defined as a wise and trusted instructor or counselor. Generally, these individuals are experts in the subject area they are into. They can give skillful advice and direction as well as supervision to another individual. So when we say affiliate marketing mentors, they are experienced counselors that have made affiliate marketing their specialty. Affiliate marketing mentors can be those persons that have already been successful in affiliate marketing and are always willing to share their experienced-based knowledge from the viewpoint of both the affiliates and the web merchants. And that’s the reason why we come up with this page. It is aimed to give you the stuffs that affiliate mentors should possess and follow and why do they need these things.

Of course, it’s beneficial for an affiliate marketing mentor to live and utilize many theories and generalities regarding your business but there’s nothing more helpful and effective than telling the client what works today and what are the things that could probably work in the future and if the trend changes. As a mentor, you should be one of the sources of knowledge for your client and the first one to teach them on how to generate more affiliate income. You too, need to be knowledgeable and equipped with the keys to success for affiliate marketers as well as for merchants. And you should guide your clients as they try to do the things that can help boost their profit because once they do well in that business, it can be counted as one of your great achievements. This also makes you a successful mentor.

There are some articles on affiliate marketing that says, in order to be triumphant in affiliate marketing business, you need to encompass and develop these traits: persistence, patience and thirst for knowledge. And as a mentor, it is your job to help your clients take in these traits within themselves. Once they’ve already developed the abovementioned character, it’ll be very easy for you to explain to them that attaining success in affiliate marketing requires sweat, blood and of course, hefty time commitment. These traits will also teach them not to give up.

Furthermore, before you coach your client to be expert in SEO, link exchanges, email marketing, newsletter marketing, reciprocal exchanges and advertising in forums, you should first become expert on these fields. They&ll sure find it hard to learn these things alone and without supervision from the one who knows best. So be sure that you are knowledgeable on these things before you accept any invitation to be a mentor. Yes, being a mentor is way harder than succeeding in affiliate marketing but this task is very rewarding especially if your client become victorious. The failure of your client is your failure too so you must do your very best to be able to bring your client on tour to success. Again, it is never an easy task and there’s nothing you’ll be able to do about it. After all, that’s what affiliate marketing mentors are for.

Why do search engines look for "inbound links" for ranking websites?

Written on March 14th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Dear friends, ranking high at the search engines for a keyword which has high demand is every marketers dream. No matter what your website about, a fully loaded super store or a hobby site, you need traffic and search engines have a capacity to provide an unending supply of thousands of visitors (if your niche has that much demand) at zero cost.

Actually it would be wrong if we say that search engines send traffic at zero cost. There is a price you need to pay to rank high and that’s TIME. Yes, it takes time to reach there.

there are many factors that undergo a normal Search Engine Optimization exercise and building “inbound links” is considered one of the most challenging tasks involved today. To understand better why search engines look for inbound links, let’s take a real life example.

For a moment forget the Internet, forget you website/search engines
anything that has to do “ranking high”, just read this small
story.

There was a young boy Jim, about 21 years old. He was a fantastic painter. He painted in water colors on canvas. His favorite subjects were landscapes, natural beauty, mountains, etc…He could spend hours painting and playing with colors. Colors were his passion, his life.

He lived in a small village that was away from a major metro city. With a small population, no one really visited this village very often. Jim was very happy with his passion of painting.

One day Jim’s uncle visited his home on a Sunday. When he saw Jim’s paintings he thought Jim has got an inborn talent of colors, of looking towards the surrounding beauty that he was able to capture on canvas. His was a special skill that very few people have. So he suggested Jim to move to the city to display his work to people out there. Jim assured him that whenever he gets the opportunity he would definitely make the best of it.

Then the golden day arrived. Jim was listening to a radio station, when he heard the announcement of an exhibiting of paintings to be held in the metro city. Jim thought this is what I was looking for an quickly rushed to the city at his Uncle’s place to arrange for the formalities.

Five of Jim’s paintings got selected and displayed at the metro city exhibition. He got a tons of post and is still getting from his fans and now the best part is he is making thousands of bucks just from a single painting. He is happy and wealthy too. His passion is keeping satisfied and now he is famous guy. The villagers are proud of having him in their village.

OK… now what’s this story got to do with SEO..you ask..

A lot…If you read the story again you will discover that Jim is already happy when he is in his village, spending most of his time with paints and brushes. But when he displays his work out to public, his work is admired by more and more people. It has to do with “numbers”. Again when no one knew about his talents, he still was a great painter, but now because now thousands of
people say that “Jim is a great painter” his value becomes magnified thousands of times.

Now if Jim launches his website on water color paintings where do you think it must rank.. You see, it’s a numbers game. Of course it’s also important that who recommends Jim as a great painter. But Jim doesn’t care, he’s already taken all the care for years polishing his painting skills. All he knows is producing great quality paintings for his customers which are ready to pay him truckloads of money.

There is a simple exercise to do. Put yourself in Google’s shoes, imagine that you are Google.com [:-)] and then look at Jim’s new website. If I am a regular Google user I will take all the care to see that my search results for the keyword “water color paintings” show up results that are best and most importantly recognized by experts in the art industry.

This is true for every search engine out there, including Yahoo! and MSN, because they want to retain their users.

Here “inbounds links” come into picture. The number and the quality of inbound links is the only way for the search engines to recognize the quality of the website it is supposed to rank. Of course as I mentioned there are many factors that a search engine will look for, but inbound links can have a major impact on your rankings.

Again if Jim wants his website to rank well for many years to come, he will have to keep on producing quality work just the way he is doing now. Most people think that search engines are money machines, just build a website, get is indexed and forget about it. But it is getting a long term goal now a days to rank high at the search engines. As I said it comes at the cost of TIME. If you are ready to go for it, creating traffic through search engines
will be one of the most profitable skills you will ever learn in this lifetime.

I hope this article was useful….

Ebay Auction Starting And Ending Day Strategies.

Written on March 12th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

It’s usually when auctions are about to end that they get half their bids – sometimes they even get their only bids. If you want your item to sell for a good price, then, it makes no sense to let it finish on a day and time when no-one’s going to be around to care.

Selling to Business.

If you’re selling business equipment and have mostly business customers, you should really aim to have your auctions finishing between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. It is worth, however, trying to avoid mornings and avoiding the ‘lead-in’ and ‘lead-out’ that takes place on Monday and Friday themselves.

Selling to Home.

If most of your sales are to private customers having it shipped to their own home, then you want your auctions to finish when these kind of customers will be around. Unfortunately, these times are the opposite of what they are for the business customers. The ideal time to catch a home customer is on a Sunday evening.

List for Durations.

In order to get your listings to end on a particular day, you can simply change the duration of your auctions depending on what day it is. For example, if you mostly sell to home customers and the day today is Thursday, then your auction needs to run for either 3 or 10 days to hit a Sunday. If you sell more to business and the day today is Friday, then:

a 1 day auction would be bad (finishing on Saturday),
3 days would be alright (Monday),
5 days would be good (Wednesday),
7 days would be good (another Friday),
and 10 days would be alright (Monday again).

You could draw up a little timetable of when you should and shouldn’t be listing depending on the days of the week – make it red, amber and green, traffic light style, and stick it on your wall.

Schedule Listings.

Of course, if that all sounds like too much trouble then there is an easier – if more expensive – way of doing things. Simply use any of the many tools that let you schedule listings (almost all listing programs and sites do) – you can set the start date for any day and time you feel like.

Be aware that you might have to pay a few cents per listing for this if you do it through eBay. With some software, you may also need to leave your computer on all the time, so the software can start the auctions when it’s supposed to. The advantage of this method, however, is that there will be no per-listing fee, since the auctions were scheduled through your computer and not through eBay.

If it’s the home market you’re after, then you might not have realised what one of the most powerful things to sell on eBay is. I’ll give you a clue: it’s not consumer electronics, or media products. It’s what eBay is famous for. Check out the next email for more.

Tips for Selling Collectibles on eBay.

Yes, collectibles! Collectibles are where eBay started, and they’re still one of its biggest areas – however much they might want you to believe they’re not. eBay’s most hardcore and long-time users are almost all collectors of something or other – it is quite common to post what you think is a mundane item, only to have collectors suddenly go to war over it because it is somehow linked to something they collect.

Collectors are the people on eBay who really do pay top-dollar for things that seem like junk to you and I – not to mention to the people you’ll be getting your stock from! That’s why you can make so much profit on collectibles. Here are a few tips.

Go to people’s homes. People’s homes are full of things that someone out there collects – they are the best and cheapest source of collectibles out there. Sure, you might find something if you hang around at enough garage sales, but you’d have competition. Getting invited to people’s homes to look around should be a dream for you, and one you’re doing your best to make a reality.

Buy on other auction sites. You’ll be surprised how much money you can make if you buy the collectibles that people sell on smaller auction sites like Yahoo Auctions, and then list it on eBay. These sellers will often be perfectly knowledgeable about their item, but simply getting a lower price because they serve a smaller marketplace. Sometimes you can almost double your money.

List in non-collectible categories. If your collectible doesn’t have a category of its own under ‘collectibles’, you might prefer to list it in a category that has something to do with the item but nothing to do with collecting. What you will often find is that people browsing a category for their favourite thing will pay more for your collectible than actual collectors would.

Do lots of research. Never list something you think might be valuable without searching and searching to dig up every piece of information you can on it. Everything you find out is likely to be useful when you come to list it.

List every tiny, tiny detail. Remember that collectors really care about the most seemingly insignificant things. An item from one year can be worth thousands while the one from the year before is near-worthless, or an item that is one shade of a colour can be worth far more than one of a subtly different shade. It’s not worth puzzling over and it’s not worth trying to pass your items off as something they’re not – just make sure you put absolutely everything you know in the description.

When you are listing items that require close research and description down to the tiniest detail, however, don’t be tempted to steal someone else’s work! Whatever you do, don’t take another seller’s description and try to pass it off as your own, as this could have all sorts of consequences for you. Our next email gives you a guide to eBay’s policy on ‘description theft’.

Why you need to have a text link strategy and how to get started

Written on March 8th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

If you have been on the internet more than 10 seconds you know what a text link is — a word, or group of words which can be clicked to direct a web surfer to another page or site on the internet which will provide information related to that word or group of words.

Text links are the foundation of the internet. Without text links, there would be no internet. Without text links, there would be no internet users. Text links make the internet “user friendly” and allow surfers to easily move from one location to another to locate the information they choose.

In spite of the facts that this advertising tool is so familiar and simple, many internet marketers overlook it when devising an advertising and marketing plan. But this is a very big mistake because text linking is one of the least expensive and yet most powerful advertising options available.

Why You Need A Text Link Strategy For Your Web Site

Why is it important to have text links spread across a network of other web sites? I can answer that in one word — traffic.

Text links equal traffic. It really is that simple.

Text links work for you three ways:

~ Direct traffic when visitors click on the key words you have selected as your “anchor text”. This is very targeted, very profitable traffic too as each visitor deliberately clicks with the intention of learning more about whatever the key words are promoting.
~ Search engine traffic when their spiders encounter the text link and key words then visit your site. This can lead to more frequent visits by the search engines and factor into search placement.
~ Back links that affect both search engine ranking for your site but also search results

Text links can provide all those benefits — which can directly translate into income from your web site — and you can often buy text links for under $10 and the link will not only promote the specific site or page you choose but also connect it with the specific key words that will benefit you the most. Even better, when you buy a text link you are locking in your price so even if it delivers a ton of traffic — you don’t have to increase your ad budget.

How Can You Get Started With Text Links?

After you have developed your site and it is ready for visitors you should work up two versions of your text link. The first will be just a few words or a short phrase that includes the key words for your target site. The second will also include a longer description that may be a sentence or two. You should be able to find a selection of text links available for either choice.

When purchasing text links it is important to work with a known quantity and that usually is made easier if you work through a reputable text link broker.

Some points to consider when buying a text link:
~ Search engine rank (Google, Alexa, etc.) and age of site
~ Traffic
~ Content, design and usability of site
~ Placement of your link and number of links on the page/site

Many inexperienced text link buyers focus solely on Google PR but that little number doesn’t really tell an accurate tale about the traffic level on a site. While you shouldn’t ignore search engine rank information, I think it is more important to pay attention to the position of the link and the relevancy of the page or site content to yours. This will deliver better results in both the short and long term.

Tips For Buying Collectibles On eBay.

Written on March 2nd, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Buying collectibles is one of the most enjoyable things to do on eBay, simply because you can find so many things that you just can’t get anywhere else. Here are a few tips to help you on your way.

Find your Category.

You’ll probably find that all the items you’re after are listed in a single category. Add this category to your browser’s Favorites, and keep coming back.

Look for Mistakes.

If you collect something, the chances are you know a lot about it. This can be your opportunity to make a mint from a seller’s mistake. They might not realise that they have a rare version of an item, or they might have left off the key information that makes it valuable. If you’re willing to email the seller and ask them a few questions about the item to confirm that it is what you think it is, then you should be able to buy items like these. You can then resell them at a big profit, if that’s what you want to do.

Don’t Always Believe Descriptions.

If you find something you haven’t heard of, and the description calls it ‘rare’, don’t assume that it actually is. Far too many sellers just put ‘rare’ into all of their descriptions – the chances are that the item is common and has just been described wrongly. Don’t bid unless you know what you’re buying.

Stalk Other Users.

When you collect something, you’ll probably notice that there are four or five sellers who seem to come up with consistently good items – and the same buyers buying them. Add their user pages to your Favorites, and check back often to see what they’ve got – or what they’re bidding on – that you might be interested in.

Don’t Get Too Attached to an Auction.

There are millions of items being listed every day on eBay – whatever you want, it’ll come around again, and if you don’t get it there are plenty more things to buy. This is similar to the golden rule of negotiating: always be prepared to walk away. If you can’t walk away, then expect to pay over the odds. There are few things so rare that another seller won’t have one to sell. Go and bid in a lower-priced auction, instead of getting into a bidding war in one that is already expensive.

Beware of the Postage.

If you collect lots of small things with a relatively low value, you might end up paying as much for postage as you do for each item. You should take these costs into consideration when you make your bid. Another good strategy is to always buy a few things at once from the same buyer, as they will almost always offer you a discount on the postage.

When you’re bidding, you might notice that some auctions go more slowly than others, going days at a time without any new bids. The next email tells you how to take advantage of these ‘slow’ auctions.

Working With Online Bookmakers As An Affiliate Marketer

Written on March 1st, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Thousands of people each and every day attempt to raid the online bookmakers& pockets, placing bets on a wide variety of sporting events. Unfortunately for the majority of these the percentages back the bookmaker and therefore some will win but some will inevitably lose. It seems like an impossible situation, barring a radically successful betting technique, which is improbable to the point of being impossible, or becoming an online bookmaker yourself, ways in which to beat the system seem slightly limited. However if, rather than trying to fight against the sports betting sites, you decide to take a step back and join them you may well be on the right tracks to turning losses into profits in no time.

Without having to spend a penny or lock horns with the gambling fraternity, an Internet user of any skill can earn money from the sports betting industry. They can do so by joining one of the many affiliate-marketing programs available within the industry. It may sound a little speculative or even downright crazy, but affiliate marketing is actually one of the most successful ways for the common man and the big industries to profit from the Internet.

It works by simply rewarding persons who choose to host advertisements on their site, with a cash reward or a percentage of the profits from each player who clicks on them. Website owners can sign up to these affiliate programs for free and even receive all the advertising and marketing paraphernalia that is required as a part of the bundle. There are no hidden catches or risks involved, all that a sports betting site requires is a small area on the site in which to place an advertisement.

In exchange for this free enterprise advertising opportunity a sports betting affiliate has the potential to tap into one of the most unique online affiliate programs. Rather than offering a small percentage of a sale or an up front fee, the affiliates can choose to earn as a sports betting site earns it’s money. To explain, each time a player loses money a sports betting site gains that money. However if that player has joined via the links of one of the many affiliate links on the Internet, that affiliate will receive a percentage of each lost bet. These percentages can range anywhere between 15 and 35%, depending on the level of the affiliate and a number of intricacies within the affiliate program. So each an every time a player bets an affiliate can earn up to 35% of that bet if it is lost.

However as it is gambling, players often win as well as lose, therefore some may question whether they are liable to lose cash should a player go on a rampant winning streak. The answer to this is a simple &no&. Most affiliate programs offer their members a sort of protection, as they pay at monthly or bi-weekly intervals, they have the opportunity to tot up the overall revenue. This process takes into account all of the wins and the losses encountered by all of the players that each affiliate represents. If this is a minus figure, the affiliate will not be held liable. The sports betting site foots the bill and the affiliate has to simply settle for receiving no money in that period. However the more players playing for an affiliate, the less likely this is to occur. Therefore the onus is on them to bring in more customers, which in turn benefits both them and the sports betting site.

The Secrets to Niche Marketing

Written on February 24th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

There are two different ways of ideas about niches. One takes the target audience into consideration first, which is the product centric model, while the other takes the product into consideration first, the audience centric model.

Actually, both of these ideas are identical but one of them will allow you to have more advantage. So which one is that? The product centric based idea.

The product centric model carries a time-tested rule of marketing: if you want to get into profit quickly, sell what people are already buying! There is plenty of information about things that sells well. Niche marketing is just a job to identify the gaps in the market which haven’t got dug yet, and build a business around it.

If you realize, books account for a huge portion of online revenue. Nevertheless, how do you grab a slice for yourself without competing against the huge companies like Amazon.com?

The answer is simple, you specialize. No matter how huge Amazon is, sometimes you still wouldn’t be able to find books that you want. What types of books are people searching for that they can’t find through the mainstream booksellers?

Could you become the authority and number one resource for books on a particular hobby? How about underground& titles like “The Anarchist’s Cookbook”? That’s what the owners of http://www.loompanics.com have, controversial and “hard to find” title books.

Another way you can build a niche around hot-selling products is to add some spice by customizing or personalizing them. In summary, the product-centric model is based on giving a twist to existing markets and trends.

On the other side, an audience centric model takes a subject matter, special interests or information more importantly first. Basically, you start off with no idea on what to sell. You don’t have a product in mind. You only know your target-audience.

The great thing about the audience-centric approach is that you can create whole new markets out of thin air. This is the model preferred by most e-book authors and information marketers.

So where do we start? You need to assess your own interests and strengths before you begin, especially if this is your first time starting a business. What are you already interested in? Do you have any background or expertise on a particular subject? Start with what you know, you’ll have more advantage because your prior knowledge will allow you to narrow down your niche quickly. In other words, you already have a good idea of how the topic breaks down.

If your passion is music, for example, you know there is an almost endless supply of potential products and potential buyers in areas as diverse as:
• Instruments/instrument sales/instrument repair/vintage instruments
• Techniques and lessons on how to play a certain instrument
• Memorabilia – shirts, hats, tickets, stickers, posters, autographs
• Audio production, recording, CD labeling, booking, promotion etc

You also know that any or all of those can be tailored towards: solo artists, bands, fans, managers, engineers, agents and the list go on.

Now that’s a great thing for you, but what if that’s not you’re interested? What if you are just not into creating a business out of your hobby, or you don’t feel any passion for your current expertise?

The good news is: It’s Fine! You don’t need to give up hope or bang your head against the wall for ideas. You will however need to do some extra work. This brings us to the second reason I suggest taking stock of your strengths.

Here’s a secret about most internet marketers. Ready to know? Here it is: Most of the famous niche marketers you’ve heard of create products for niches they know absolutely nothing about.

How do they do that? Easy, they either hire the research and writing to someone else, or hunt down an expert for an interview, just a combination of outsourcing and “branding”. Also, this type of marketer has his or her own set of “reasons why” for motivation.

They include:
• Money
• Pride of ownership
• Love of the creative process
• Need for variety and breadth, rather than depth

It doesn’t matter as much to this type whether the market personally interests them. His or her goal and passion is to hunt down as many overlooked niches as possible, dive into them quickly and start profiting.

So, if this sounds like you, you’re in good company! Once you learn the basics of niche research, you’ll have your pick of dozens of potential business ideas.

Is The Ebay Customer Always Right?

Written on February 11th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

I can answer this question for you right now: the answer is ‘yes’. In fact, the answer is ‘YES!’ – the biggest yes you’ve ever heard. Of the course the customer is always right. If you want to be a successful eBay seller, you should go miles out of your way to make sure every single one of your customers is 100% satisfied, however much time or money it might cost you.

A dissatisfied customer will leave negative feedback, and negative feedback is to be avoided at all costs. That one piece of negative feedback will always cost you more than it would have to deal with the complaint, whatever the value of the items you sell. You should consider any positive feedback percentage under 100% to be an absolute disaster, and a personal failure on your part.

But What If…

But nothing! There is no situation where you, as a seller, should get into any dispute with a buyer. Here are a few common situations and how to handle them.

They say the item never arrived: Politely ask the buyer to wait a few more days to see if it turns up, and then email you again if it still hasn’t arrived. If it still hasn’t arrived, you should assume it was lost in the post somehow and offer to send a replacement if you have one, or give them a full refund otherwise. No, I don’t care what that costs you. Are you serious about selling on eBay or not?

The item has been damaged in the post: You must offer to replace it or take it back for a refund without hesitation.

They say the item doesn’t match the description: Resist the urge to email back with “yes it does, you just didn’t read the description properly”. Take the item back for a refund, and edit your description if you need to, to make any confusing points extra clear.

I’m sure you’re spotting a pattern by now. Offering a refund will make almost any problem go away, and it really will cost you less in the long run. Remember, one piece of negative feedback will stay with you forever, while having a 100% positive rating is like owning a bar of solid gold.

You should always handle customers’ complaints before they complain to eBay – in fact, you should email them pre-emptively to ask if they have any. Going through the dispute process is time consuming, reflects badly on you and is downright unnecessary.

Are you still not convinced? Think this would only work with cheap items? Well, you see, the higher the price of the items you sell, the more your reputation is worth to you. Let’s say you were selling $10,000 worth of items each week, for example, and making a $1,000 profit per week overall. You might think that refunding one customer’s $1,000 purchase would be a tragedy, losing you your whole week’s profit. It’s far better to look at it this way: if you don’t give that refund, then not only will you lose the next week’s profit, but you’ll probably lose a few weeks’ profit after that too. Now which option looks better?

I absolutely can’t emphasise enough the importance of really believing that the customer is always right. But trying to make excuses for complaints isn’t the only thing you need to avoid. There are a lot of pitfalls that you need to avoid if you don’t want to kill your business before it’s even started properly – and I’ll show you in the next email what they are.

Auction Fortunes Are Dependant On Ebay Software

Written on February 7th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Ebay software, that is tools that automate many of the steps required to sell items online, are making all the difference for the small business types who are trying to make it as professional auctioneers.

So what kinds of tools are we talking about? Well if you are at all familiar with internet marketing well then you know the jobs that most of these tools are created to accomplish. First there are simply automated tasks that ebay software or software designed specifically to interact with the ebay website. These include things like marketing research, that is finding out what kinds of things are popular and how the trends of the demand for these items is for specific times of the year. Research tools are also built to analyze the habits of people buying these products. What are the most effective descriptions of the products? What are the most profitable ways to display the products on line? What price structures should be used? What prices are most effective for certain times of the year?

After research comes building the descriptions and sales pages to put up on ebay&s auction site. Each of these sites needs to be managed during the auction as well as after the auction has ended. There is ebay software that can take care of each of these steps. As you can imagine if each of these steps were automated, the scale that you can operate on becomes much larger and therefore more profitable.

The reason that computer programs (i.e. ebay software) can do this successfully is that marketing on the internet has been reduced to a science of steps and formulas that create a situation favorable for the sale of an item. After that it is just a numbers game. All you need to get enough people who are interested in the product you are selling to see your sales page and you will make a certain percentage of the sales.

So much of the so called ebay software functions in the internet world that exists outside of ebay. There are tools that promote product pages from ebay to the major search engines. This promotion is really the bread and butter of internet marketing in general and may be the most important set of tools that a successful professional auction marketer owns. One thing that we know for sure is that the internet is here to stay and anyone who invests in the ability to make an income online will not be disappointed.

Becoming An eBay Power Seller

Written on January 27th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Most people think of eBay as a place where they can change some of their old junk into cash, gaining some money from what otherwise might have ended up taking a trip to the dump. There are those, however, who have recognized the money making potential of eBay and brought it to a whole new level: the power seller.

Power sellers on eBay have various methods of going about turning a tidy profit. They may employ age old methods such as beachcombing and garage saling in order to gain a large stockpile of inventory that they can then turn around and sell at the world’s largest auction at a handsome profit. Power sellers may also offer to sell other people’s goods on the eBay market place for a percentage of the profit or an up front fee. Regardless of their method, power sellers often find themselves making quite a bit of money simply by using the potential of the site to its fullest.

The existence of the eBay professional is certainly no joke or figment of the imagination; there are over 700,000 individuals who make this their full time job, with another million supplementing their income through more casual eBay sales. These professionals have learned the ins and outs of the eBay system, and most understand the best ways to sell products for top dollar.

The fact that the professionals have been in the market for so long should not discourage any new entrepreneur from taking the same steps themselves. The fact is, eBay is so huge, with over 1.4 billion items listed in 2005 and three million auctions closing every day, that it could stand a lot more competition before the professional selling business became cut throat.

There are also ample resources to assist a prospective eBay power seller in starting up their new venture. Many books have been written already about successfully and strategically creating auctions, including where to list certain items, what is hot, what is not, and how to go about finding buyers.

As with any business, one of the keys to eBay is to keep your clients happy. EBay operates through feedback, and this feedback is essential both for buyers and sellers in order to retain and evaluate the legitimacy of the business or the offer. Unlike other bid sites, however, eBay also offers a regulated feedback system, in order that professionals do not take a hit to their bottom line because some disgruntled buyer ended up being unhappy with the final price they paid, or they felt that the seller was too pushy when it came to asking for payment.

An eBay power seller has hit upon a fun way to make some extra cash or even to earn a good full time income, without having to go out and invest in advertisements or finding a clientele. EBay brings clients from around the world to your product, and it is just a matter of getting the word to them that you have something that they will need.

Keyword Research Is Critical To Your Website’s Success

Written on January 16th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

So you have developed your idea for a niche website and you’re raring to go, but before you go ahead and start writing content there is another vital step you should take. It seems so obvious and yet many people make the error of failing to take it. What is this critical next move? Keyword research.

The importance of keyword research
The effective use of keyword research can mean the difference between a website that climbs the search engine listings, has thousands of visitors each day and generates an excellent revenue and a website that goes unnoticed. Using niche keywords can improve your sales and boost your profits. Keywords or keyword phrases are the terms that a searcher types into a search engine to find whatever they’re looking for on the internet. Keyword research is the process of selecting the most appropriate keywords on order to optimize your search engine rankings and help lead visitors to your site.

How to research keywords
You don’t have to be a marketing expert to do your own keyword expert; there are already tools out there to help you. Two good examples are Instant Keyword Research and Keyword Elite. Both are simple tool to use and will save you a lot of time and leg work. The advantages of such a tool are obvious:

You can find more specifically targeted keywords
You can improve your search engine ranking
You can save time
You can increase your profits
You can generate large keyword lists
You can uncover negative keywords to avoid

Keyword analysis
Another advantage of using a keyword research tool is that it will give you an estimate on daily clicks per keyword and pay-per-click bid values. Why is this important? If you want to optimize your profits you need a heads up on the competition. These figures will allow you to analyze how many pages are competing for the top rankings and to focus your keywords.

How to use your keywords
Once you have completed your research and generated a list of targeted keywords you need to know where to place them on your website. Strategic placement will greatly improve your search engine ranking. It’s important not to fall into the trap of overusing them otherwise the search engines may interpret them as spam.

Optimal use of keywords is 3-7 times on each page
The title tag should contain your most important keywords, usually 5-6
Headings tags should contain your most important keywords or keyword phrases
Use keywords in hypertext links
Keyword content should be placed in the upper third portion of the text

Most Internet marketing experts will tell you that keyword research and proper usage means more to your website’s success than almost any other aspect. So take your time, do the research and create your content the right way.

13 Steps to Successful Blogging

Written on January 11th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

Blogs can be a very marketable and very profitable tool if used correctly. Profiting from blogs is just a matter of grabbing the attention of an audience and not doing any actual salesmen selling. In this article you will learn the 13 most essential steps to successful blogging.

1) Where to start?

You should begin your blog with a free blog hosting service such as Journal Home. I don’t say that because I’m the owner, but a free blog host is very rewarding for a new blog. Starting with a free blog hosting service allows you to begin blogging instantly without having any advance knowledge of scripts, hosting, or programming. It allows you to build an audience and buzz for your blog. It allows you to focus on your content and not the internal maintenance of the blog. The best benefit of starting with a free service, is in the case your blog doesn’t become successful you do not lose any money or are you left holding the bill. The great thing about a blog is that they are organized in chronological order, your latest entry is displayed first. When your blog traffic grows greatly and you are ready to upgrade to your own domain then you can simply make your last blog entry the announcement of your “move”. Simply add a last entry stating that your blog has “moved” and type the new blog URL address. Which directs visitors to your new blog site, keeping your following, without a major inconvenience to anyone. Upgrade as you need to…but only when you need to!

2) Niche

A niche is a targeted product, service, or topic. You should first decide on a product, service, or topic which interest you. Choose an area which you can enthusiastically write about on a daily basis. You can use keyword research services like Google Zeitgeist or Yahoo! Buzz Index to find popular searched topics. It does NOT matter if your topic is popular as long as there is a audience for your topic and the topic is precisely focused then your blog should be successful. Anything can be considered a niche as long as it has a target audience no matter how large or how small the audience is. A blog about your cat can be a niche or a blog about the species of the cat family can be a larger niche market, if there are people who are interested in hearing about your cat or the species of the cat family, then you have a niche…you can even choose to build your audience for a market which an audience does not exist, but first you must build your blog.

3) Update Daily (nothing less)

This step is a must and not a suggestion. Updating your blog daily not only keeps your blog more interesting to readers, but it also gives your blog fresh content on a day to day making it more appealing to search engines. Not updating your blog on an occasional holiday or one day here and there is understandable to most, but missing days at a time or weeks is unacceptable and will most likely result in your blog being unsuccessful. To keep your blog traffic and retain your visitors interest it is a must to update your blog daily with multiple entries. Though, I am seeing a growing trend of successful blogs that are not being updated daily, but they are successful and have a stable audience who continue to visit their blog daily. Regardless, these blogs are still updated weekly with multiple entries. Until you have a steady audience you should try to update your blog everyday with at least 3 or more daily entries. The best way to accomplish this is to set aside 1-2 hours a day for tending to your blog and adding new entries. It may even be wise to schedule a set time which you dedicate to your blog each day. Give yourself work hours and treat your blog as a job, what happens if you don’t come to work for days or weeks…you lose money or worse you get fired! Same applies here…if you don’t update your blog for days or weeks you’ll lose visitors.

4) Traffic

It’s no secret. You must have traffic to profit from blogs. There are numerous ways to build traffic. Paid advertising, free advertising, viral marketing, search engine marketing, RSS/XML feeds, and word-of-mouth. You should always use your blog URL address in the signature of your email, forum discussions, message boards, or any other communication media. You should submit your blog URL address to search engines and blog directories. You should submit your RSS/XML URL feed to blog ping services like Technorati, Ping-O-Matic, and Blogdigger. You should confidently share your blog with family, friends, co-workers, associates, and business professionals when it relates. Many blogs can be considered as a collection of articles, for this purpose you should submit your blog entries (those that are valuable and lengthy articles) to content syndicators like GoArticles.com or ZapContent.com. Once submitted your articles can be picked up and published by others. The trick is to make sure you include your Blog URL address in the “About the Author” passage. What this does is create link popularity and backlinks for your blog, when someone picks up your article from the syndication then publish the article on their website the “About the Author” passage is included with each publication and the link you included is followed, crawled, and indexed by search engines. Imagine if your article is popular enough or controversial enough to produce 10,000 publications across the web. The search engines is bound to find your blog in no time with that many publications and credit you a authority on the topic, in return increasing your rank on search engines. The small effort of writing a well written article is rewarding. You should try to write at least 1 full length article every week for syndication and submit your article to at least 10 article syndicators.

5) Track Your Blog

How do you know if your blog has traffic? Just because no one is leaving comments doesn’t mean your blog isn’t growing. Many visitors do not leave comments but they are returning visitors. I know it sounds crazy but with blogs people are more interested in what “you” have to say! Many visitors do not comment their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time. Some do not comment at all, but are active daily visitors.

Tracking your blog does not have to be overly sophisticated usually a simple free page counter like StatCounter.com or Active Meter will do the trick. Install (copy/paste) the code into the html of your blog template and start tracking your visitors. Its better to use a service which gives you advanced traffic analysis, such as keyword tracking information, referral information, and search engine information. Visitors, returning visitors, and unique visitors should be standard for any page counter service you choose.

6) Listen to Your Audience

When using the proper page counter you should begin to see how others are finding your blog and if through search engines then which keywords are being used to find your blog. If constantly your blog is being found by 1 or more keywords then focus your blog around those keywords to make it even more powerful. When writing entry titles and entries use the keywords as often as possible while keeping the blog legible and interesting.

7) Multiple blogs

Use multiple blogging accounts (free) to attract more people. This means you should have a blog with JournalHome.com and others. The more blog accounts the better (be sure to read and adhere to the Terms of Service for each site). You can copy/paste from 1 blog to all others. Having different blog accounts is like having a publication in different newspapers. This enables you to attract more visitors and this also increases the chance that 1 of your blogs will be in the search engine results for your focused keywords.
8) Short and Concise

Aside from the lengthy article a week for syndication and publication your blog entries should be short and concise (if you can help it). Sometimes there are exceptions to the rule and you have no choice but to blog lengthy entries, but try to avoid this as much as possible. You do not want your blog entries to become hours of reading. Visitors like to easily find information and skim through your entries. It is good to be detailed and provide useful information, but do not include useless information or run away sentences that veer away from your topic. Stay keyword-focused.

9) Digital Art

Try to include non-advertising graphics, pictures, photos, and art in your blog entries. Not too much. Once a week is fine. Graphics can sometimes bring your blog to life. Of course, the content of the blog is the most important aspect and you do not want to overshadow your content with graphics, but displaying graphics can add a bit of spice to the blog. Be choosy about your graphics and make sure they fit your entry topic. You should add content with the graphic, at least a caption. Original graphics, photos, pictures, and art is recommended.

10) Keep it Personal

A blog is most successful when it is kept personal. Try to include personal experiences which relates to the topic of your blog entry. Stay away from the business style of writing. Write with a more personal style and use first-person narratives. Do not write any of your entries as sales letters, instead share product reviews and personal endeavors.

11) Interact With Your Visitors

You now have the traffic you deserve. You should begin interacting with your visitors. Create a regular theme such as: “Monday Money Tip” or “Picture of the Week” which entices your readers to look forward to each week.

Give your readers advance notice about a product, service, or topic which you are going to review and then talk about later. If the President was scheduled to give a speech then in your blog you should state that you “will discuss the speech and give your opinion after the speech airs. Comments will be appreciated”.

Try your best to find exclusive information that not many have. Do not disclose any confidential or secret information which is deemed illegal or can potentially get you into trouble, but try to get the scoop before everyone else does. Such as: If your blog was about Paris Hilton (the socialite) and you had a blog entry about “Paris Hilton Getting Married” then it would be interesting to your readers if you had a actual picture of Paris Hilton engagement ring. Give your best effort to dig and search the internet for exclusive information and you will possibly come up with something useful. Your readers will appreciate this and they show their appreciation through word-of-mouth referrals. Imagine how many readers will tell their friends, family, and others about information they only can find at your blog.

12) Make Money

Once your blog has gained some real momentum and your blog traffic is increasing then it is time to start thinking about turning your traffic into profit. You should use contextual advertising, like Google Adsense or Chitika. Contextual advertising is usually text links which use the content of your blog to publish targeted ads on your blog. The payout is usually based on a pay-per-click model, meaning for ever click an ad receives you are paid a small percentage of the profits. In addition to contextual advertising it is good to also use graphical advertising such as: BlogAds.com, Amazon.com, MammaMedia, or General Sponsored Advertising.

13) You’re a Professional

You’re a professional now! What are you still doing with that free blog hosting service? It is time to upgrade to a domain hosted solution. You need to get a web host and choose a domain name for your blog then check its availability. Select the blogging software you wish to use, such as: Squarespace.com, WordPress.org, MovableType.org, TypePad, etc. When you have your new blog domain setup and ready for traffic then it is time for you to announce your move on all your previous blog accounts. Your last entry to the blog should be a “move” announcement. The title should be “Moved” and the blog entry should state something like “I have a new home for my blog, please bookmark and follow the link: http://www.YourNewBlogDomainName.com”. This way all returning visitors and new readers should not have any problem finding your new blog domain. Plus, search engines can easily index and crawl your new blog, since your old blog should already be popular with the search engines.

At the level of a professional blogger you may want to team up with 1 or more other bloggers. This will create a more interesting and more powerful blog. The old saying “two heads is better than one”, more authors mean more advertising and exposure because each author will have a vested interest in the blog. The idea of a team blog is to make it profitable and rewarding for all authors, while continuing to target the blog topic and keeping the blog interesting for visitors.

Following these blogging techniques should make your blogging experience much more rewarding. There is no guarantee that your blog will become popular or a household name, but the effort should at least put you one step closer. Making money online is not an overnight experience like many may think, but making money online is definitely a foreseeable possibility. As well, growing popularity on the web is not an overnight experience, but through time, dedication, and persistence you will be rewarded with all the royalties of blogging.

Importance Of Search Engines And Designing A SEO Website

Written on January 9th, 2011 by Guruno shouts

The vast resource of information available on the internet today is in the form of various classes. For example, when we talk about a mosquito repellant – there are websites that market the product, websites that offer manufacturing know-how, websites that provide simple information on the topic and websites that just simply talk about mosquito repellants. The importance of information posted on a business website is always to the end of selling and making profits.

Therefore, the information which is business oriented should be displayed to the customers at all times. Now that all this is taken care of, how to make sure that a particular website is found by the visitor? There could be millions of websites dealing in the same product. This is where the concept and process of search engine optimization comes in. The need to develop or design the site to be search engine friendly takes the drivers seat here, in an effort to optimize a particular site out of the billions on the internet today.

Search engine majors like MSN, Google, Yahoo and AltaVista crawl through the internet perpetually by using programs called bots or spiders. Their function is to read the websites and file them into a category and finally index them in a huge catalog. When a visitor accesses a search engine and types in his search criterion, the search engines scan their indexes for a match and display the results, out of which the visitor can select a website to visit. Exactly how this index is made is still a puzzle that many professionals are trying to solve. However, thank god for small favors, some secrets are known.

Using these known secrets, it is possible to design a website by keeping them in mind to ensure that the website ranks highest in the search engine results. In this multi-pronged advantageous process, the higher a website is ranked, the higher is the traffic. Moreover, if the website stays there continuously, it builds credibility amongst potential customers and the traffic builds automatically.

The whole process of search engine optimization generally takes about 3 to 4 months after the design phase is over. This is the time taken by the crawlers to finalize the index after numerous visits. Submissions to search engines is another option but not necessary because, all search engines automatically crawl and find new websites on a continued basis.

The demand for search engine optimization is immense today.

Seasonal Selling On Ebay.

Written on January 1st, 2011 by Guruno shouts

When you sell on eBay, it’s important to know how to take advantage of the kinds of markets you encounter in the different seasons. As a rule, the summer months are slow and the winter period is fast, but there’s more to it than that.

It Depends What You’re Selling.

Your sales won’t necessarily be slower in the summer than in winter – they might just be different. If you’re selling sports equipment, for example, you’ll probably find that surfing gear sells in summer while skiing gear sells in winter. You should make sure you are aware of any seasonal variations there will be in your particular market, and plan in advance to take advantage of them.

Selling in Peak Season.

The holiday season is eBay’s peak, and the best time to be selling on eBay – the December rush is relatively short, but if you play it right then you could make half your year’s profit over those few days.

In the holidays, people are looking for presents, and eBay run more advertising than usual targeted towards buyers, not sellers. Target your auctions more towards new users than experienced ones, writing easy-to-understand descriptions. If you have any items that are in demand, try listing some at auction and some with high But it Now prices, to see what works best.

The chances are you’ll be surprised when the Buy it Now auctions go almost instantly and the auctions rack up bids like nobody’s business. It is important to remember, however, that most of these buyers will only buy from you once.

Selling Off-peak.

For the rest of the year, the market is far slower. Don’t worry though – you can still make money. It’s a little like being a stockbroker: you can make money whether the market is good or bad, if you know what you’re doing.

Remember that your target market is a little more ‘expert’: you’re mostly selling to people who know what they’re buying, and know what they want to pay. Cater to this by providing a service suitable for these customers. Show that you know what you’re selling and sell things consistently and you’ll have people coming back again and again.

Here’s one extra tip that you might try. If you know of items that have a consistent value, it might be worth buying up as many as you can cheaply in the summer, storing them for half a year, and selling them during the winter rush. If you’re willing to give over a little space for storage, you can make a lot of profit for little effort. After all, you don’t even have to take the items out of the packaging the last seller put them in.

If you’ve tried searching for a few more eBay tips using the big search engines like Google and Yahoo, then you might have come across someone offering to sell you all the secrets of eBay success for a ‘low, low price’. In the next email, I’ll let you in on their little secrets for free.

Guide To Successful Affiliate Marketing

Written on December 30th, 2010 by Guruno shouts

While studying the achievements of super affiliates that earn handsome money every month, we find that their attitude is fine tuned to get optimum results from their attempts. Apart from the attitude everything is the same. They sell the same products that everyone else sells, they sign up for the same advertising program and employ the same SEO tactics. What makes them different is their willingness to experiment more, think creatively and showing of better understanding of human nature.

1. Dare to Lead

Don’t just be a follower; you can set new standards in affiliate marketing. This statement does not mean you should learn the nice good qualities of successful Internet affiliate marketers. You can take new ideas from the success of successful Internet marketers. But you can think differently and creatively. Creativity is the first thing every successful affiliate marketer possesses. You can creatively design your website, plan a promotional campaign and generally play your cards correct. Set standards and be a leader, let others follow.

2. Learn the Basics

Learn the basics of closing a sale. Learn from the innumerable websites in the Internet that sell products and services. Be a constant learner of marketing. This way you will know what sells and what does not. Goal setting, planning and implementing of the plans correctly make you a successful Internet marketer. Set daily, weekly and monthly targets, then lay down the plan and follow up with the implementation of the plans.

3. Set Priorities

Everything you plan to do to promote your new affiliate product may or may not be necessary or fruitful. Separate the tasks as immediately essential, moderately lesser and unessential. Cutting down on unessential tasks saves your efforts and gives you more energy to concentrate on highly essential tasks.

4. Learn the art of Giving Before Receiving

You can’t bind horse before the cart. To receive something you need to give something. Here what you give before you take is information, tips and strategies to maximize the use of products you sell. For example if you sell photography items, provide in your website useful information about the care of different photographic products and continuously update the information with whatever you learn. Thus you learn to give before you receive.

5. Network

Network with fellow affiliate marketers. Help someone if needed. Don’t shy away asking help if needed. Affiliate marketing is not a ‘I Win, You Lose game’. Everyone can benefit from combined strengths.

6. Widen your Horizon

Don’t put all your eggs in the same basket. Diversify your efforts. This advice is not a license to dilute your focus. If you are the affiliate of a company that sells digital camera, you will have a good idea about digital cameras, its components etc. Instead of setting your focus solely on digital camera for a specific company, become an affiliate of different companies that sell digital cameras. Also sell digital camera components like memory sticks, batteries, flash units … You simply give yourself more exposure to a variety of opportunities.

7. Never Quit

Last but not least. This one tip you need to bind to your heart. Early setbacks and losses are only natural. In such occasions, heartlessly dump the products or services that bring you low or no returns. Cut down costs. But never ever give up your career. You can find profitable products to sell that will give you profits. If you really want to become a successful affiliate marketer, you must see such setbacks as essential natural learning points.

Selling Childrens Items On Ebay

Written on December 16th, 2010 by Guruno shouts

Selling for a profit on eBay is easy when you have kids. People are earning hundreds of dollars a month by selling kid related items. Here are some general ideas to help you get started.

Kids Items You Can Sell

Clothes, toys and videos are good money makers on eBay.

Go to eBay and look up a “lot” of size six girl&s cloths. You will find they are expensive! The average price for a lot of 20 good conditioned clothes is about $35.00.

When your kids grow out of their seasonal clothes do not throw them out. Bundle them into different lots by category. For example bundle girls dresses separate from girls play clothes, but only do that if you have at least six of each different type.

Lots of any item sell better than single items unless the item is unique or high priced. For example, a hand embroidered dress that you paid a lot for would sell better by itself instead of bundled with other basic dresses.

The next item to lookup on eBay is toys. Most toys in good condition will sell for a lot of money. One idea that works well is to buy hot items in October at Wal-Mart or Toys-R-Us and sell them on eBay. Busy people are willing to pay extra for the convenience of getting the items delivered to their home.
For example, last year a Mega Power Ranger came out in stores around October and sold at Wal-Mart for about $45.00. The same item sold on eBay for up to $65.00 plus shipping. The Yellow Power Ranger is yet another example where the store price was about $6.00, while the same item was selling on eBay for about $20.00.

Have your children ever received duplicate birthday or Christmas presents? You can sell those on eBay also. Look at the eBay listings for items of interest to see if selling on eBay is worth more than returning the item to the store.

Kid&s videos and DVDs are also good money-makers. Bundle about three of these together, and you can usually make about $7.00-$12.00 per bundle. Bundle more and the money goes up. Disney movies in hard cases can go for a higher amount. This also works for other types of movies as well.

Save those McDonalds toys. Some Kids Meals toys sell high. Take the new Star Wars toys from Burger King…very collectible. You will find them selling on eBay from $1.00 to $5.00, not including shipping.

Ebay has a whole section devoted to dolls and bears. If your daughter doesn’t want her collectible dolls anymore sell them on eBay.

Kids Crafts You Can Sell

Around the holidays, especially, have your children place their hand in paint and make a print on some quality paper. Add a holiday related poem and you have a great craft to sell on eBay.

Have your kids make gift jars with ready made mixes. For example, hot chocolate mixes in a jar with a plastic spoon tied to it with a ribbon. Dip the end of the spoon with white chocolate.

Baby Items You Can Sell

Used baby items are very profitable. Baby items cost a lot of money, especially in their first year. Any “gently” used items are generally good sellers on eBay.

If you have baby coupons that you will never use, sell them on eBay! Left over diapers and formula sell well also. A lot of 35 used cloth diapers usually sells for around $38.00 plus shipping. Four Fuzzi Bunz diapers (cloth diapers with hemp inserts) can sell for as much as $40.00.

There you have it. Plenty of ideas for selling those leftover kids items on eBay…and you can even make a nice profit while you are at it!
